Job Description

Res Group are a well established, expanding organization with multiple divisions operating in the construction industry, primarily in but not limited to, the southern Ontario market. Our companies are involved in the concrete forming, masonry and architectural precast concrete trades in both the ICI and high rise residential sectors and currently are active on more than 30 projects.

To supplement the team, we are seeking Estimator/Project Coordinator to work within the Project Management Team at our Cookstown, ON location.

Responsibilities:

Assist the estimating team in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFPs, tenders, budgets, and preliminary schedules, review all corresponding documents including scope of work.

Prepare formwork quantity estimates to develop with bid proposals

Effectively communicate appropriate information internally to the team and externally to the client

Track and manage change notices and change orders

Review field inspection reports, deficiencies and the site instructions.

Review of subcontractor quotes and qualifications.

Prepare project start up and close out documents

Attend client meetings as necessary and assist in the determination of project requirements

Gather all tender documentation and print documents as required

Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by supervisor

Requirements:

3-6+ years experience construction industry

Degree or Diploma in Architectural or Construction related field

Proficiency with MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products

Ability to read, analyze, prepare, and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, construction specifications, estimates, job cost reports and contract documents

Familiarity with construction methods

Valid Ontario Driver's License and personal vehicle for use traveling to site

Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing

Ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask and prioritize

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills

Ability to develop relationships with clients and site staff

Ability to engage with diverse range of staff, skill sets, and personalities
