We are currently seeking a motivated Estimator / Senior Estimator to join our growing team. This role is critical in preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates that contribute to Blue-Con's continued success in the heavy civil sector.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Chief Estimator to develop and refine bid strategies, ensure consistency in estimating practices, and deliver competitive proposals. Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects including earthworks, utilities, roads, and infrastructure. Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop comprehensive pricing strategies. Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering alternatives within project scopes. Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate cost data and constructability input. Participate in bid reviews, presentations, and post-tender negotiations. Support and mentor junior estimators to strengthen the estimating team.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in estimating (heavy civil construction experience preferred). Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of construction methods, costs, and industry practices. Proficiency in estimating software, MS Office, and digital take-off tools. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under deadlines with keen attention to detail.
