Position Overview

Maxima Walls and Ceilings is seeking a

high-performing Estimator / Project Manager

to join our commercial drywall division. This role requires full ownership of

Drywall, Steel Stud, and Insulation take-offs

, estimating, project execution,

change order management

, billing, and cost control. Candidates must be detail-driven, organized, and accountable for results.

Core ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Take-Offs

Complete

Drywall, Steel Stud, and Insulation take-offs

for commercial and multifamily projects Prepare

5-10 accurate and competitive bids per month

Review drawings, specifications, and addenda for scope gaps, coordination issues, and risk Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing based on productivity rates Prepare clear

inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications

Assist with

value engineering and alternate pricing

Project Management

Overview projects from

award through final completion

Coordinate with site superintendents, general contractors, consultants, and inspectors Review contracts in the awarding phase of the project.

Change Order Management

Identify, price, submit, track, and bill all change orders

Review RFIs, site instructions, revisions, and field conditions for extra work Ensure change orders are documented, approved, and captured financially Follow up with general contractors until approval and billing is secured

Billing & Financial Control

Prepare and submit monthly Schedules of Values (SOVs)

Submit progress billings accurately and on time Monitor job cost reports and protect margins Identify cost overruns early and implement corrective actions Support project close-out, deficiencies, and warranty items

Performance Expectations

Consistently meet

5-10 bids per month

Maintain strong

bid accuracy and project profitability

Capture and bill

100% of eligible change orders

Submit

monthly SOVs on time

with minimal revisions Take full ownership of results

Qualifications

3+ years

experience in commercial drywall estimating and/or project management Proven experience with

Drywall, Steel Stud, and Insulation take-offs

Strong drawing interpretation and scope coordination skills Solid understanding of labor productivity and construction sequencing Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable Proficiency with estimating software and Excel

Pay: $47,802.40-$118,159.97 per year
