We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to growing their professional career at Brymark while gaining valuable knowledge and experience through a variety of assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the analysis of specifications for large hard bid/lump sum and construction management projects to determine overall project requirements (bonding, insurance, etc.) and the review of contract documents (isometric, as-built, and engineering drawings)
- Lead win strategy development for procuring new work
- Select the best trade contractor pricing upon bid review and evaluation
- Attend all pre-tender meetings for accuracy in bid preparation
- Provide proper construction procedures and methods for staff to use in the preparation of estimates
- Accountability for work scope in medium-to-large estimates or a component of larger estimates
- Establishes a critical path schedule (milestone dates, timelines for completion to meet contract obligations)
- Develop and maintain relationships with all clients and stakeholders, specifically trade contractors for price advantages
- Obtain a competitive pricing model from trade contractors and suppliers
- Maintain and update trade contractor database information.
- Identify risks/opportunities associated with contract/project documents.
- Be cognisant of risk in regard to project-specific requirements, site, schedule, and market conditions/constraints
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role
- Must have Industrial site experience working with Pipefitters.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline or preferably a Trade Certificate
- Union Agreement (various trades) understanding
- Advanced blueprint reading skills and firm understanding of contract documents
