Job Description
Bayview Construction is a Winnipeg-based leader in heavy construction, specializing in excavation, road building, concrete & asphalt paving, as well as utility installations and repairs. We are currently seeking a motivated, professional individual to contribute to project estimating for our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in searching and evaluating open tenders. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Identifying new tenders Assessing suitability to bid Soliciting subcontractors & suppliers Bid preparation & submissions Working with Project Managers to review successful bids
Required Qualifications:
Education:Diploma in Engineering Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Expertise:Knowledge of estimating, construction methods, sequencing, problem-solving, and project timelines. Analytical Skills:Ability to review tender documents, specifications, and addendums to determine project scope and requirements. Communication:Strong written and verbal communication skills. Interpersonal Skills:Proven ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment.
Experience:
Previous Employment:Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry Estimating experience is an asset
