Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs and providing essential insights that guide our construction projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates. Utilize HeavyBid and Bluebeam software to facilitate the estimation process. Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project budgets. Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids. Build strong relationships with vendors to enhance procurement processes. Conduct site visits to gather information for accurate estimations. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review. Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and provide updates as necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required. Proficiency in HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other relevant estimating software is preferred. Strong understanding of project management principles and construction processes. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor interactions. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
