Estimator - Electrical (Residential, Commercial & High-Rise Construction)

Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 + Benefits Package

We are hiring an experienced

Electrical Estimator

to join our growing team. Our projects include residential wood-frame multi-family, townhomes, high-rise, and commercial electrical scopes. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who is accurate, disciplined, and committed to high standards and ethics in their work.

Key Responsibilities

Complete detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems (lighting, Fire Alarm System, Power, distribution, devices, life-safety systems) Estimate full electrical scopes for residential, commercial, and high-rise projects from start to finish Prepare budgets, tenders, change-order pricing, and material/labour breakdowns Review electrical, architectural, structural, mechanical, and site drawings with precision Track addendums, scope changes, RFI responses, and contract documents Coordinate with Project Managers, coordinators, and field foremen for smooth project handoff Communicate professionally with GCs, suppliers, engineers, and the internal team Prepare VE (Value Engineering) options and alternates when required

Requirements

Minimum

3-5 years of electrical estimating experience

in construction Strong experience using

electrical estimating software

(Accubid, Bluebeam, LiveCount, or AutoCAD) Ability to read and interpret full drawing sets and specifications at a professional level Strong accuracy, consistency, analytical skills, and time management High ethics, reliability, confidentiality, and the ability to work under deadlines Experience in

wood-frame and concrete buildings

electrical estimating required;

commercial or high-rise

experience is a strong asset Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) is an advantage
