Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in single-family and multi-family construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are competitively priced and completed within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation. Utilize estimating software such as Buildertrend to create precise pricing templates and budgets. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather relevant data for accurate estimates. Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and communications related to pricing.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Familiarity with construction estimating software, particularly Buildertrend. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail in pricing analysis. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Project management experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
