Overview

This position is available at our VAUGHAN location. We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Drafter/Estimator with experience in ACM (Aluminum Composite Panels) and other exterior cladding systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics that support construction, engineering, and architectural projects. This role requires both estimating and drafting responsibilities where you will be working on exterior cladding systems such as ACM, Siding, Masonry, and EIFS systems.

Duties

Perform take-offs on exterior claddings using Planswift or Bluebeam Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and SolidWorks. Create schematics, technical diagrams, and construction documents aligned with project requirements. Assist in translating conceptual designs into precise technical drawings suitable for manufacturing or construction. Incorporate client feedback and revisions into final drafts efficiently. Prepare presentation materials including 2D animations or visualizations when needed. Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and schematics for easy access and updates. Ensure all drawings adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.

Requirements

Experience in Planswift is required. Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, or SolidWorks. Strong knowledge of drafting principles, schematics creation, and construction documentation. Familiarity with 2D animation techniques related to technical presentations is a plus. Ability to interpret engineering or architectural plans and translate them into detailed drawings. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry standards related to civil engineering, construction, or manufacturing is preferred. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
