Estimating Administrator

Job Description

The Estimating Administrator plays a key role in preparing, organizing, and managing bid documentation to ensure the estimating team has accurate, up-to-date information. This role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with estimators, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Prepare and maintain estimating files -- both hard copies and digital -- ensuring all records are organized and accessible.
Download and manage drawings, specifications, and other tender documents from client portals or bid platforms.
Maintain and update the estimating bid log and project database.
Act as liaison between estimators, project managers, and other team members to ensure timely information flow.
Review bid documents to determine the scope of work required for pricing.
Assist in tracking bid deadlines and submission requirements.
Prepare prequalification documents and submittals
Support general estimating and administrative tasks as required.
Previous experience in an estimating, construction, or engineering environment preferred.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with estimating software and project management tools is an asset.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (an asset, but training can be provided).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
