Profil du r\xc3\xb4le?

Vous \xc3\xaates un Estimateur en Construction Senior avec de l\'experience dans l\'industrie genie civile, immobili\xc3\xa8re (architecture, structure, MEP) ou l\'infrastructure, avec un minimum de 10 ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience postuniversitaire \xc3\xa0 la recherche de votre prochain challenge ou occupez actuellement un r\xc3\xb4le similaire dans un secteur similaire.

Who are you?

You are a Senior Cost Estimator experienced in heavy civils work in natural resources projects, real estate (architecture, structural, MEP) or in infrastructure projects - cost estimating with a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment

Vous serez responsable de:

• Produire des estimations de co\xc3\xbbts pour les grands projets (\xc3\xa9tudes de faisabilit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 la conception d\xc3\xa9taill\xc3\xa9e (estimations pr\xc3\xa9alables \xc3\xa0 l\'appel d\'offre).
• \xc3\x89valuation des co\xc3\xbbts des options dans le cadre des \xc3\xa9tapes \xc2\xab Optioneering \xc2\xbb du projet
• R\xc3\xa9conciliation et justification des chiffrages pour pr\xc3\xa9sentation au client et principaux intervenants;
• Participer aux ateliers d\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie de la valeur (Value Engineering) pour identifier les solutions optimales disponibles pour le client
• Participer \xc3\xa0 des ateliers d\'\xc3\xa9valuation des risques pour calculer les contingences par m\xc3\xa9thode probabilistique (\xc2\xab QRA \xc2\xbb)
• Conseils aux clients sur les couts d\xe2\x80\x99op\xc3\xa9ration, maintenance et d\'exploitation (\xc2\xab OPEX \xc2\xbb) du projet
• Exp\xc3\xa9riment\xc3\xa9 dans la production de \xc2\xab cost benchmarks \xc2\xbb sur de grands projets
• Jouer un r\xc3\xb4le de premier plan dans l\'interface avec le client du projet et d\'autres consultants techniques, \xc3\xa0 toutes les \xc3\xa9tapes du projet
• Travailler en \xc3\xa9troite collaboration au sein d\'\xc3\xa9quipes de projet tr\xc3\xa8s performantes et s\'assurer que les attentes sont g\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9es de mani\xc3\xa8re ad\xc3\xa9quate et que les objectifs des clients sont atteints

• Producing construction cost estimates for major projects from feasibility/ concept design up to detailed design (pre-tender estimates).
• Providing costings of options as part of the project Optioneering stages
• Providing cost reconciliation cost estimates including associated justification to be presented to project clients and key stakeholders;
• Engaging in value engineering workshops to identify the cost savings and optimum solutions available for the client
• Engaging in probabilistic risk assessment workshops to calculate contingency provisions e.g. Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA)
• Provide client advice on capital and operational expenditure (OPEX) element of the project (e.g. operation and maintenance, life cycle cost, whole life costs, etc.)
• Experienced in producing cost benchmark for validation and target-setting on major rail infrastructure projects
• Taking a lead role in interfacing with project client and other technical consultants, at all project stages
• Work in close collaboration in high performing project teams to ensure expectations are managed adequately and clients goals are achieved

Qualifications

• R\xc3\xb4le bas\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 Montr\xc3\xa9al
• Bilinguisme en Fran\xc3\xa7ais et Anglais afin de communiquer avec nos \xc3\xa9quipes au Qu\xc3\xa9bec et dans le reste du Canada.
• Dipl\xc3\xb4m\xc3\xa9 en g\xc3\xa9nie civil / gestion de la construction et/ou \xc3\xa9quivalent
• 10 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience dans l\xe2\x80\x99estimation des co\xc3\xbbts pour des projets (\xc2\xab pre-contract \xc2\xbb) en particulier dans le domaine immobilier
• L\'adh\xc3\xa9sion \xc3\xa0 des organisations professionnelles est un atout (par exemple CIQS / RICS / AACE)
• Connaissance et ma\xc3\xaetrise des logiciels d\'estimation utilis\xc3\xa9s sur les grands projets de g\xc3\xa9nie civil
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec le logiciel Cost X est un plus

• Role based in Montreal
• Bilingualism in French and English to communicate with our teams in Qu\xc3\xa9bec and the rest of Canada.
• Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management Degree and/or Certification or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in cost estimating positions across pre-contract phases of projects especially in real estate
• Membership of professional organisations is a bonus (e.g. CIQS / RICS / AACE)
• Knowledge and proficiency with estimating software used on major civil engineering projects
• Experience with Cost X software is a plus
