Job Description
ANNE\'S Language House (ALH) is looking for a qualified and experienced English teacher who has passion and skill to teach English to international students to improve their English. ALH is a private ESL school with small-sized classes to ensure every student actively participate in class. This position is for teachers who can cover a main teacher\xe2\x80\x99s position due to a vacation, sick leave, other emergency reasons, etc. Applicants must have:
- TESL Canada Level One Professional certification or the equivalent*
- A minimum of 1-year teaching experience as an ESL teacher
- A Passion for teaching
- Great communication skills to non-native English speakers
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Understanding students from various cultures and backgrounds
- Organizational skills
- Excellent conversational and written skills
- Basic computer skills
- Day shift
- Calgary, AB T2P 3P4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Bachelor\'s Degree (required)
- ESL teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- TESL Canada, CELTA or the equivalent (required)
