Daydream Adventures is Toronto's first and only art installation escape room. Gamemasters are essential to the unforgettable adventures; you will be greeting players, providing game instructions and monitoring game experiences. This role requires a strong sense of customer service, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Daydream Adventures is designed and operated by hands-on owners with years of industry experience. We are looking for team members who are self-motivated and customer oriented. Game Masters are expected to complete tasks with enthusiasm under minimal supervision. Creative people will thrive in this work environment. Candidates must be available 2-3 weekday evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be available during major holiday seasons (Christmas & New Years).

Responsibilities:

Greet customers, answer calls and record information on booking system Process and record payments, maintaining accurate records General cleaning of bathrooms, reception and escape rooms Complete pre-game checks to ensure the escape rooms are functioning correctly and safely Start and reset games while keeping on schedule Monitor escape room experiences through surveillance systems, ensuring players follow the rules and providing hints as needed Maintain a high level of energy and engagement throughout the experience to keep players immersed Monitor gameplay for potential issues and quickly solve problems Maintain escape room props and sets, as instructed by management

Candidate Requirements:

Excellent customer service experience Comfortable to speak to large groups Enthusiastic and energetic personality Independent and driven worker Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Quick learner and able to memorize puzzles/hints Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to assist players Strong attention to detail to ensure games are functioning and safe Passionate about escape rooms, theater, arts and interactive entertainment High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in hospitality, theater, or related fields is a plus).
Must be available weekends, evenings and holidays. Able to work a minimum of 15 hours/week, with occasional opportunity to work up to 40 hours/week.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
