Job Title: *Equipment Operator
Reports To: Manager, Production - Canada
Location: Peace River, AB
Position Summary: Operate, maintain, clean, and secure heavy motorized equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to the policies and procedures as directed by management. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to, front-end loaders, dozers, excavators, haul trucks, telehandlers, and tractors.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties in compliance to appropriate safety and security standards to reduce risk to employees and damage to property.

• Operate various sizes and weights of equipment.

• Clean equipment, perform routine inspections, provide preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, and report defects to management.

• Assist the plant operator to ensure plant productivity.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of related experience in heavy equipment operations.

• Experience operating end loaders, excavators, dozers, heavy trucks, and skid steers required.

• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

• Ability to observe proper safety precautions.
