Main Responsibilites

Golden Concrete, part of the Interoute Construction Ltd. (ICL Ltd.) group, is seeking an Equipment Operator for its Golden operation. ICL Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia. The responsibilities of the Equipment Operator include, but are not limited to Responsibilities:

• Capable of operating heavy equipment such as wheel loaders of various sizes and makes, skid-steers, backhoes, on a concrete plant and aggregate pit job site
• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficiently according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
• Must be able to work well independently, self-motivated and driven
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate, and refill the equipment as necessary
• Ensure that equipment is safely and securely stored
• Capable of loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
• Able to take and follow instruction from supervisor, adjust to changing conditions and communicate any and all needs to supervisor as well as working as part of a team
• Capable of doing various tasks and labour duties as required
• Knowledge of aggregates is an asset but not a requirement

Requirements:

• A minimum Class 5 Drivers License (preference given to applicants with class 3or 1 license)
• Must pass Drug and Alcohol test
• 2-3 years’ experience operating a diverse range of construction equipment is required
• 3-5 years in the construction industry preferred
