Job Description


Position Scope:
Reporting directly to the Condition Monitoring - Project Lead, this position will be responsible for review of remote reporting unit condition data on all NACG\xe2\x80\x99s fleets of graders, dozers, excavators, shovels, rigid frame haul trucks and articulating trucks. Interpretation and targeted maintenance in response to the alert codes and parameter trending will be a key aspect of the NACG preventative maintenance program. This position will coordinate the remote reporting activities, as well as monitor and trend equipment data/codes to improve unit reliability.


Salary Range: $70,000 to $82,000 per year. Responsibilities:
Review remote condition monitoring data and generate alerts with work orders

  • Review and interpret abnormal machine codes generated by the various OEM remote monitoring system and determine the appropriate practical resolving action; incorporating recent maintenance intervention information as well as oil sample analysis.
  • Generate work orders within the work order system (JD Edwards) for abnormal machine condition repair activities.

Research remote condition monitoring data trends and assist long range and reliability with research projects
  • Identify any site/fleet or product issues via trends in the remote condition reporting data.
  • Evaluate and adjust the alerting and recommended repair suggestions based on site repair feedback.
  • Complete various remote condition trend analysis, as it relates to ongoing reliability troubleshooting, component failure analysis and other reliability projects.
  • Based on the units\xe2\x80\x99 remote condition trends, recommend component change outs or unit disposals.
  • Discuss recommended interventions with the site supervision and track site execution and the success of the intervention actions.

Monthly reporting to different levels of management
  • Report monthly on the Remote Condition Monitoring program\xe2\x80\x99s return on investment, based on the programs \xe2\x80\x9cSaves\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cLosses\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Monitor and report on site compliance to NACG specific Preventative Maintenance recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree required or technical diploma or certified trade (HET or similar), with two years\xe2\x80\x99 additional experience. Other relevant education may also be considered.
  • Experience in a reliability based maintenance program considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • CLS or OMA I or OMA II is considered an asset.
  • JDE or ERP System experience is an asset.
  • Heavy equipment remote reporting system (VIMS, VisionLink, JDLink, ZXLink, GolbalE, Komtrax, Komatsu VHMS, etc.) experience is an asset.
  • Capable of both strategic and tactical thinking with a drive to meet quality, schedule and reporting targets.
  • Basic knowledge of heavy equipment and willingness to learn and improve understanding
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills, working with JDE, Microsoft Excel, Word, Office and other programs
  • Strong interpersonal skill set, will be working with various levels of management
  • Ability to work under pressure and work thru complex or unusual situations EG: data research, short time lines, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-Starter with drive to take ownership of the program and make continuous improvements.
Summary:
  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License
  • Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  • Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
