Aplin has partnered with a Edmonton, Alberta-based company to hire an Intermediate Environmental Risk Assessor who will report to the Team Lead of Assessment and Remediation. As a member of the Assessment and Remediation team, the Intermediate Environmental Risk Assessor supports company\'s risk assessment portfolio. This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.

The Intermediate Environmental Risk Assessor (with Subsoil Salinity Tool experience) will support company\'s initiative to execute various scopes of risk assessment work for our upstream and midstream oil and gas clients. Reporting to the Team Lead of Assessment and Remediation, the Intermediate Environmental Risk Assessor will be responsible for the cost estimating, planning, execution, and report writing/ reviewing of risk assessment work.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of risk assessment programs
  • Coordinate and execute Tier 2 Assessments, Site-Specific Risk Assessments, SST Assessments and Directive PNG045 Assessments
  • Business development and marketing to grow and expand Flint\'s Risk Assessment service offerings
  • Cost tracking, reporting and report technical review
  • Implement corporate and client safety programs
  • Ensure that project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner
Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in planning and control of work in a multi-project, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds
  • Able to prioritize work, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced, high volume team environment
  • Proactive approach to problem solving with a strong ability to take initiative
  • Must have strong ability to influence and communicate
  • Proven ability to build relationships across various organizations
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Education:
  • Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science or related discipline
  • Must possess or be eligible for professional designation
  • Eligible to become a Qualified Professional (QP) for Saskatchewan Salinity Risk Assessment (beneficial but not required)
Experience:
  • More than 4+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience in the Oil and Gas sector
  • Subsoil Salinity Tool Certification (preferred)
  • Experience with Tier 2 Assessments, Site-Specific Risk Assessment and SST Assessments
  • Familiarity with Directive PNG045 (beneficial but not required)
