Nor-Alta Environmental Services Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental Reporting Manager to manage our reporting department. The Environmental Reporting Manager will oversee the preparation, review, and completion of environmental reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in reclamation and remediation report preparation within Alberta and British Columbia, and will play a key role in mentoring junior staff and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the environmental reporting department, including assigning reports and managing workload distribution.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to monitor timelines and ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule.
Prepare and review a variety of environmental reports (Phase I/Stage I, Phase II/Stage II, and Detailed Site Assessments, etc.)
Complete and submit regulatory forms and documentation as required.
Provide training, mentorship, and technical writing guidance to junior and intermediate staff.
Develop and refine internal reporting processes, templates, and quality control systems.
Support project coordination and documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
Diploma or bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth sciences, biology, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in technical report writing related to reclamation and remediation in Alberta and British Columbia.
Experience with drilling waste and planning reporting is considered an asset.
Eligibility for or membership with a professional organization (AIA, ASPB, APEGA, etc.) is required.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data and reporting tools.
Thorough knowledge of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations.

Compensation
This is a full-time position starting at $104,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
