Ram River Environmental Consultants Ltd. (RREC) is currently seeking an Environmental Data Manager to join our dynamic Technical Services team. The successful candidate will work independently as well as within the Technical Services team to manage database systems, develop data management procedures, assist colleagues in performing data-related tasks, and networking with staff, clients and, third party laboratories.

RREC is a professional environmental consulting company established in 2006 that continues to grow and evolve within the complex environmental industry. RREC has over 75 professionals providing reclamation program management and project supervision for upstream oil and gas clients in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities



Manage and organize laboratory data and field data to ensure quality and consistency Produce data tables and reports that reference guidelines and criteria using in-house programs and specialized software Assist in developing standards and procedures for data management process improvements Actively communicate and coordinate with project managers, laboratories, and/or other team members to acquire data packages of varying formats to be imported to a centralized database system Liaise and coordinate with staff, clients, and third party laboratories to provide data management solutions Work on a wide variety of environmental projects at a time

Qualifications



Proficient with ESdat, Matidor and/or equivalent software with a strong understanding of database relationships Proficient in using and understanding environmental regulatory guidelines and criteria Exceptional attention to detail Passion for working with data and have had exposure to environmental analytical data Strong problem-solving skills Capable of working both independently and in a team environment Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities, with ability to self-manage priorities, deadlines and budgets Dedication to meet project deadlines in a timely manner Excellent verbal communication with peers, project managers and clients Advanced Excel VBA skills Must have a good driving record and valid driver's license.

Education And Experience



3 to 5 years of related data management experience in the environmental or analytical chemistry sector B.Sc. in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Geography or related field, or a certificate/diploma in Database Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, or related field

Pay: $55,526.45-$125,864.72 per year
