As Environmental Services II - Housekeeping, you have a real impact on everyone's experience at AHS facilities - staff, volunteers, and patients alike. In addition to providing a more pleasant, comfortable atmosphere, properly cleaned, disinfected, and maintained hospitals and healthcare facilities are vital for patients' healing. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, changing privacy and window curtains, replenishing linens, and restocking supplies. You have a good knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and techniques or are willing to learn. With efficiency and attention to detail, you can get it all done in a timely fashion. The cozy hamlet of High Level offers all the essential amenities and a variety of recreational options nearby. In addition, this position is eligible for the Northern Retention Allowance of $6,300 annually, payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at basic rate of pay, as well as an annual Travel Expense Reimbursement covering one round trip to any destination within Alberta up to $1,235. Apply today!Description:As an Environmental II, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with intensive or specialized cleaning within a hospital or facility associated with industrial cleaning supplies and by using powered industrial equipment. Your typical duties may include operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance, thorough washing of ceilings and windows and emptying hazardous waste. You may also provide training/orientation to Environmental staff.

Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of a computer including Microsoft Office. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs of force. Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, able to follow oral and written instruction. Basic knowledge and operation of a computer and a smart phone. Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
