ERM is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team in Charlottetown, PEI and Windsor, Nova Scotia. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining Environment, Health and Safety documentation/records and advising on the EHS regulations. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) limited-term role for a duration of 3 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Read, understand and follow our clients' Corporate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Programs, Policies and Procedures
Provide consultation services to management, supervisors, committees, faculty and employees on all aspects of OHS including, but not limited to guidelines, hazard identification, assessment, controls, and incident investigation
Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic evaluations for manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory processes
Monitor compliance with applicable legislation and client's management systems (e.g., Confined Space, LOTO, WHMIS, Hazardous Materials handling)
Assist in the development, revision, and maintenance of all policy and program documents for our clients' corporate programs
Deliver HSE training and onboarding for employees, contractors, and visitors
Support the maintenance of documentation related to EHS client activities
Investigate, or assist in the investigation of OHS issues/incidents
Participate in internal audits, and EHS inspections
Prepare, update, distribute and maintain project health and safety related documentation as required for the assigned worksites
Update, maintain, and present EHS related training to ensure a complete and effective understanding of potential risks and expected behaviors within the worksite with the goal to prevent or reduce incidents/accidents
Other responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in a Safety related field preferred.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an EHS role, with EHS administrative capabilities.
Previous experience with OH&S Policies and Programs in the Manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management skills to complete deliverables within prescribed timeframes.
Detail-oriented and able to focus on completing detailed, repetitive tasks.
Ability to communicate with remote colleagues through conference calls and web-based videoconferencing platforms.
Working knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety legislation.
Valid Driver's License.
Pay Transparency:For the Environmental Health and Safety position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $78,260 - $88,688, $37.62/hr. to $42.63 CAD
