The
Environmental Coordinator
will report directly to the Environmental Regional Manager. In this role the Environmental Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of processes to maintain environmental, compliance and to support the operational team to ensure continuous improvement of AIM Recycling sites.
Travel is required up to 25%.
What you're responsible for:
Coordinate
activities to maintain the
ISO 14001 certificate,
including implementing environmental policies, processes, procedures and corrective actions for the Hamilton facility.
Perform
internal ISO 14001 audits and
coordinate
external audits, implementing action plans in the Hamilton environmental team.
Identify, document, and archive
environmental data from all sites in compliance with ISO 14001 and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare, coordinate, and maintain
environmental training records, including the creation of toolbox talks.
Coordinate
health & safety training and
maintain
associated training records.
Plan, collect and supervise
environmental studies across all sites (surface water, groundwater, atmospheric emissions, noise, soil, etc.).
Conduct
stormwater sampling and other required environmental sampling at all sites.
Perform
site inspections and checklists to
verify
environmental compliance
Support
advisors by preparing environmental documentation, presentations, procedures, gathering information, taking team notes, and updating dashboards.
Collaborate
with the advisor to ensure the coordination and proper management of the residual materials (hazardous and non-hazardous) on all sites (inventory tracking, transport and disposal, RPRA).
Provide
support for environmental incidents.
Perform
administrative tasks such as obtaining quotes, preparing requisitions relating to environment, health & safety to support the EHS Team.
Qualifications
To join our team:
You have
1+ of environmental experience
in an
industrial setting
.
You have
post-secondary education
in a related field.
You have experience with an
Environmental Management System
-
ISO14001
.
You are able to work
collaboratively
within a team and
problem solve
effectively.
You are highly
organized
and able to
plan
and
prioritize
work requirements.
You have strong computer knowledge including
Microsoft Office
and other web applications.
You have strong
written
and
verbal communication
skills.
You have experience creating and delivering
presentations
.
You have a
valid driver's license
