THE OPPORTUNITY





Ambipar is currently seeking an

Environmental Consultant/Reporter

based out of

Calgary, AB.

The

Environmental Consultant/Reporter

performs duties in accordance with Ambipar's standard operating procedures, performance objectives, applicable health and safety regulations, and professional codes of conduct. The role involves report preparation, data analysis, field work, and internal/external communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES AT HAND / WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF




Prepare accurate technical reports following approved templates within project timelines and budgets. Initiate and complete tasks assigned by the technical leader, including report writing, data analysis, tabling, drafting, and occasionally communications with stakeholders, clients, media, or regulators. Complete all required internal and external training courses and exercises. Be flexible to work on-call (24 hours) and remain fit for duty when scheduled. Adhere to Ambipar performance initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Review and ensure field data accuracy and completeness. Upload all field documentation, including safety forms, to SharePoint in a timely manner. Communicate daily progress of assigned projects to the technical leader. Stay current with environmental legislation, regulatory updates, and internal operational updates. Submit all time and expense entries at the end of each workday. Conduct in-field training and mentoring, including signing off on training forms for tasks you are competent to train. Complete internal (non-billable) tasks within budgeted timeframes. Provide superior professional service to clients and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS




Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, Agrology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geoscience, or equivalent. WCSS Spill Responder Series (training available). Maintain compliance with Ambipar and client safety training requirements. Experience with technical report writing and environmental laboratory data interpretation. Drafting experience, particularly with AutoCAD. Experience with environmental soil and/or water sampling in the field. General understanding of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations (soil, groundwater, and surface water). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database entry.
