Position Summary:
You will be the first point of contact for students, prospective students, and others reaching out to Strava College. Your role includes handling inquiries, resolving issues, assisting with administrative support, and ensuring that all interactions leave a positive impression. This is an entry?level opportunity--ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, working in a collaborative environment, and wants to build their skills in customer service and administration.
Qualifications & Skills:
Completion of secondary school (Grade 12) required; further education in communication, administration, or related field is an asset
Some customer service, client?facing, or office work experience is helpful but not essential; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills: friendly, patient, empathetic; comfortable dealing with a variety of people
Good organizational aptitude; ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and follow through
Attention to detail in data entry, record keeping, and maintaining accurate documentation
Comfort working with computer systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn any proprietary tools or databases
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling student or institutional information
Flexibility to work during peak times, occasional evening or weekend hours if needed
Responsibilities:
Answer and respond to phone calls, emails, in?person inquiries from students, parents, and the public in a timely and courteous manner
Provide information about Strava College programs, admissions, schedules, policies, and student services
Assist with registration processes, documentation, and verifying information
Log, track, and follow up on service requests, complaints, or concerns; escalate issues when needed
Maintain accurate records of interactions and administrative tasks using college systems
Coordinate with academic, admissions, and support staff to ensure student questions are addressed and resolved
Prepare standard correspondence, forms, notices, and materials as required
Assist in maintaining waiting areas, resource displays, and orientation materials
Support with scheduling appointments for students or parents and reminding them of deadlines or steps
Participate in general office and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of student services
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.80-$23.61 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surrey, BC
