Job Description
Amazing Education provides comprehensive academic support for K-12 students, and we are seeking a passionate English Instructor to build the exceptional reading and writing skills our students need to excel.
In this role, you will teach advanced academic English to a diverse group of students, including both proficient English speakers and ESL learners. Your core responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating assignments, providing constructive feedback, and evaluating students for placement.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver tailored academic English lessons for diverse K-12 students (both proficient and ESL). Develop, assign, and grade assignments and tests to evaluate student progress. Provide detailed, constructive feedback to students and parents on performance. Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements. Foster a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere to encourage participation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of one year of experience teaching English, reading, and writing to K-12 students is required. Certification: A recognized teaching certificate (e.g., BC TRB, TESL, TEFL, TESOL) is a strong asset.
