Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated English Language Instructor to join our educational team. This role focuses on providing high-quality language training to international students, particularly Chinese learners, who require strong support in academic English, daily communication, and cultural adaptation.

The ideal candidate will communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin Chinese, ensuring effective interaction with students and supporting their individual learning needs. This position requires a strong commitment to student success and a professional, supportive teaching approach.

Responsibilities

Teach ESL courses to international students, with an emphasis on supporting Chinese learners in both academic and everyday English. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to learners' needs and proficiency levels. Provide clear explanations and guidance in both English and Mandarin when necessary to enhance understanding. Assess student progress regularly and offer constructive, individualized feedback. Maintain accurate student records and participate in teacher meetings and training sessions. Communicate effectively with students and, when required, their parents or sponsors using both English and Mandarin.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; TEFL/TESOL certification or equivalent training is preferred. Experience teaching ESL or working with international students, especially Chinese learners, is an advantage. Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required for effective student communication. Ability to design clear and engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles. Professional, patient, and supportive teaching attitude. Knowledge of French or additional languages is considered an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
