Job Description

First founded in Toronto in 2003, Inspiration Learning Center has been providing professional and high quality tutoring services for students from elementary school to high school. Inspiration Learning Center - York Mills (York Mills & Don Mills) is seeking experienced and knowledgeable English and/or Math Tutors to join our dynamic team of professionals. You will be teaching English and/or Math in private or small group settings at our tutoring center in York Mills. We provide some teaching materials, although teachers should be prepared to adjust according to the student\'s particular skillset. Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in one-on-one form or in a small, group-based environment
• Help students improve their learning skills and critical thinking
• Assign, collect and mark homework
• Report on student progress regularly to center admin staff

Skills and Qualifications:

• Be enrolled in or graduated from post-secondary institutions
• Good teaching skills and experience in teaching K12 courses especially JK-G5
• Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum, having OCT certificate is an asset
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students
• Ability to develop lesson plans based on students\' needs and feedback
• Effective interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication

Job Type: Part-time Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• NORTH YORK, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor\'s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• teaching: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• OCT for Primary and Junior divisions (required)
