We are seeking Civil/Mechanical students to work as an Engineering Student for our project sites located in Edmonton and Terrace, BC. We are looking for students that are available for 4 , 8 or 12 months starting in Fall 2023.

Here\'s how a(n) Engineering/Techinical Student for our Edmonton Buildings District office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Report deficiencies by going on various site visits
• Monitor and coordinate trade scopes of work
• Coordinate and update field drawings, specifications, and project schedules
• Participate in project meetings and get a chance to be part of something bigger by working closely with seasoned project professionals
• Conduct trade contractor quote reviews
• Get to visit some of our impressive projects and job sites while taking progress photos and monitoring deficiency logs knowing that you helped build that
• Be responsible for performing bid day assignments and overall bid document control. Everyone at PCL takes ownership and that includes students.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and monitor worker productivity
• Assistance with on-site problem solving

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup will be considered an asset.
• Access to a clean, reliable vehicle
