What you will be doing

Position Summary

Reporting to the General Accounting Manager, the General Accounting Summer Student is responsible for the preparation of journal entries, bank posting, assisting in reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of pricing credits and other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

Innomar Strategies is looking for Summer Students to join our team. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for dynamic, passionate and driven students looking to gain hands on experience within a variety of different departments. We have opportunities available within our Finance Department.

What will you do?

As a Summer Student with Innomar, you will assist with a variety of assignments within our Finance Department. You will be supported by a designated manager through the summer and you will assist with a variety of function-specific job assignments. You will also contribute to the completion of established projects and initiatives.

The goal of our Summer Student placements is to provide meaningful job opportunities to students.

Requirements/Qualifications

• You are enrolled in an undergraduate program with an accredited post-secondary institution in a Finance related program
• You are available on a full-time basis between May 09th \xe2\x80\x93 August 31st 2023
• You have strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills
• Strong computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of SOX is an asset
• Knowledge of Inventory Management is an asset
• Bilingualism \xe2\x80\x93 French/English an asset
• Customer service experience an asset
• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a post-secondary institution. Must be able to work between 8 and 40 hours per week, depending on the department\'s needs.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Good project management skills

Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills

Customer service experience an asset

Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions

Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook

The successful candidate may have daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients or peers from cross-functional teams.
