Job Description

We are currently recruiting for the position of

Engineering Technologist

at the

Junior to Intermediate

level working in our Saskatoon head office. The ideal candidate will have experience in piping and mechanical equipment design using Autodesk Inventor and Vault. Someone who is highly self-motivated and possesses a strong desire to continually learn and be challenged while working on a wide range of municipal and industrial water, wastewater, and process treatment systems.

Responsibilities



Prepare detailed piping and mechanical equipment designs using Autodesk Inventor. Detailed 3D assemblies consisting of pumps and filters, PVC and SS piping spools, structural frames and skids, tanks and pressure vessels, chemical dosing and instrumentation panels, modular and containerized process buildings, etc. Prepare detailed piping and mechanical equipment drawing packages using Autodesk Inventor. Detailed drawings for customer and consultant approvals, Delco manufacturing shop, vendors and fabricators, on-site contractor assembly, installation, and commissioning, etc. Support and prepare project estimates and proposals with material take-offs, equipment data sheets, vendor and fabricator request for quotes, labour and schedule estimates, detailed bill of materials, etc. Provide technical support to project managers and other project team members over the entire project life cycle from initial proposal and detailed design through commissioning and warranty.

Requirements



An Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited institution: Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design and Manufacturing Technology, CAD/CAM Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, or equivalent, OR Related Engineering Degree with proficiency in 3D CAD.*
Experience using Autodesk Inventor and Vault. Considerations given for experience with other 3D CAD software; Solidworks, Revit, Plant 3D, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is essential. Must possess a valid Canadian Driver's License. Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on full-time basis. Must submit both a cover letter and resume.
