As an Engineering Technologist, familiar with industrial process technologies, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and optimization of thermal waste treatment systems and related process technologies. Working closely with senior engineers and technicians, you'll support the development, testing, and continuous improvement of systems that treat waste and convert it to clean energy and other products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, fluid dynamics, and data analysis -- and who wants to grow into a technical leadership role.

This is a full-time position based in Burlington, Ontario, with a combination of in-office and remote work flexibility.

Duties



Support the design and optimization of incineration and waste-to-energy process systems Collect and analyze operational and emissions data to evaluate system performance. Perform calculations and simulations Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings under supervision. Assist in commissioning, testing, and demonstration of new systems and equipment. Maintain organized engineering files and documentation. Develop and refine Excel-based process models and tracking tools. Support continuous improvement initiatives in system design and operation. Other duties related to process engineering and technical support.

Experience



College or University degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering (or a closely related discipline). 1-4 years of relevant experience in process, mechanical, or thermal systems engineering. Working knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and industrial process equipment. Experience with Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis using advanced formulas and macros, VBA is an asset. Familiarity with emissions modeling or dispersion software (e.g., AERMOD) is considered an asset. Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings and process flow diagrams, using AutoCAD and other programs. Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn from senior engineers. Valid driver's license. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and legally eligible to travel to the United States for business purposes (e.g., to attend demonstrations, testing events, or training).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
