Req #1526Wednesday, May 8, 2024BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.The candidate will be responsible for:

• Participating in design review activities, equipment selection and specification process.
• Participating in Process Hazard Analysis activities for process safety systems
• Overseeing and actively participating in the installation of equipment as per manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s recommendations or engineering design.
• Red-lining and revising piping and instrumentation drawings (PIDS), facility and equipment drawings, and updating AutoCAD drawings.
• Troubleshooting process systems, equipment, and instruments.
• Coordinating project work with 3rd parties, contractors, etc.
• Preparing commissioning documentation and executing commissioning test functions.
• Executing qualification protocols to test equipment.
• Participating in Impact Assessment activities for equipment and utilities to determine critical components (for quality, safety and environment)
• Writing maintenance and operation procedures and training staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

• Post- Secondary education in Engineering, CET or MET.
• Experience in a project-based work environment.
• Industrial experience in a GMP environment would be an asset.
• Ability to read, interpret, revise, and create (AutoCAD) piping, instrumentation, facility, and equipment drawings.
• Experience reading & writing in a technical manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Problem solving, coordination and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
