About the position



LED Roadway Lighting Limited is seeking the best and brightest to join our growing team of professionals with on-site job responsibilities at our

manufacturing plant in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

We are currently seeking an individual to join the Engineering department to help us work on the many technical aspects of taking leading edge product designs and enabling them to be manufactured for a wide variety of smart city applications.

Responsibilities:



Production support of equipment, including test sets and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines Support and Troubleshooting product & equipment issues in electronics manufacturing environment. Generating documentation for production: manufacturing aids/move tickets/engineering change notices, etc. Design, Build and Maintaining new Test Set tools and other manufacturing aids. Experience with New product Introduction (NPI) process and/or Writing Test Set Instructions (TSI) Basic Equipment Programming.

Qualifications:



Completion of an Electronic Technician Diploma Preferred minimum experience of 2 years working in the electronics in the electronics manufacturing sector Ability to think fast/work fast while maintaining accuracy, prioritizing and multi-tasking. Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects while respecting deadline issues. Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards and preferred experience in high reliability soldering Eager to learn new skills and research intricate problems in manufacturing environments Engineering Software Tools - Gerber File Software (ViewMate), Manufacturing Software (FactoryLogix AEGIS) is beneficial Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools like SYSPRO would be a benefit Excellent computer skills are a necessary qualification (Microsoft O365 Office tools) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts are beneficial Experience with the intricacies of global product manufacturing for products in different markets Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills along with demonstrated technical and organizational abilities. Detail-oriented with pleasant demeanor. Must be able to communicate clearly (written, verbal) in English Must be able to stand / sit for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Base Salary Range: $ 40,000 - $ 47,500 annually
