Engineering Technician 3

What you'll achieve
As an Engineering Technician 3, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining the infrastructure in a lab environment. This includes installation and cabling, hardware reconfigurations and asset and inventory management. You will be working with the latest servers and switches and learning the newest technologies. You will work alongside other members of our team to provide excellent service to the engineers who are using the hardware in our labs, so they can accomplish their goals as quickly as possible.
You will:

• Be responsible for ensuring proper installation and cabling of servers, networking switches, storage arrays and radios as well as hardware reconfigurations
• Manage asset and consumables inventory; documenting and labeling assets and cabling
• Assist in the maintenance of the datacenter environment as needed and ensure that any issues are identified and resolved
• Maintain a working knowledge of all documented procedures
• Replace system hardware by following documented processes

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience
• Enjoy working in a datacenter environment, both as an individual and team contributor
• Ability to manage work priorities in a fast paced, ever changing environments
• Ability to take ownership of work and continually strive for excellence
• Strong written and verbal communication - we are constantly communicating with our engineering partners, documenting our efforts in our ticketing system, through email and in person

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience in the Telecom Industry and basic server and switch configuration and troubleshooting skills
• Agile experience with knowledge of Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and NetBox
