A successful candidate will prioritize engineering objectives to maximize productivity, quality and profitability in the plant. We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to join our team in Lethbridge, AB! What You\'ll Do:
Establish priorities to maintain and control capital investments.
Liaise with suppliers and purchase capital equipment.
Develop and manage multiple project timelines.
Work closely with team members to ensure projects are effectively prioritized and deadlines are met.
Work closely with Production and Maintenance Managers to increase productivity and profitability.
Participate in self-development and conduct training for engineering and maintenance staff.
Manage maintenance activities and priorities with Maintenance leadership.
Monitor operations and maintenance expenses and develop ways to reduce costs.
Work closely with the Safety Manager to provide a safe workplace.
Manage external subcontractors.
Conduct performance appraisals for the Engineering team.
Sign off on mechanical drawings.
Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
Attend trade shows, conferences etc.
Other duties as assigned.
About You:
Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; equivalent education or experience will also be considered.
3-5 years managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Leadership experience, including team building and coaching.
Excellent planning, computer, and organization skills.
Strong understanding of safety implications to system design changes.
Background in manufacturing.
Experience in a foundry is an asset.
