Responsibilities & Outcomes:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to their team to advance the Business/Organizational and Functional/Technical competencies of the team while maintaining a cohesive group
  • Provide technical guidance to the team to ensure production of assigned work occurs in an efficient manner
  • Manage first level Employee Relations issues and concerns
  • Administrative oversight of the team such as time sheet approvals, vacation approvals, expense claims, etc.
Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Marine Systems Design, Mechanical or Electrical)
  • 5- 7 years of marine experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience and/or aptitude and passion for leading and developing people is required
  • Expertise and experience in a wide variety of engineering project environments is considered an asset
  • All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance
