Position Summary:

Bantrel has an exciting opportunity for Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering students to support our Energy, Mining, and Infrastructure Teams this summer. Reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer of each group, you will support various Energy/Infrastructure related projects from either Calgary, Edmonton, or Toronto corporate offices. The positions will be starting in May 2024 for a 4, 12, or 16 month term. in a full time temporary role and be a champion of

Duties & Responsibilities (may include and are not limited to):
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete project specific engineering deliverables, including:
  • Engineering lists
  • Procurement packages
  • Modeling and design using the latest industry software and tools
  • Design Deliverables
  • Project Controls deliverables
  • Become knowledgeable with the engineering design process and practical applications, regional codes and standards, various engineering design tools and applications, and the Bantrel quality procedures.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-discipline environment to deliver the best solution for our clients.
  • Assist senior engineers and designers with their responsibilities including creating and checking engineering deliverables, attending design reviews, and quality reviews.

Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited university. Preference will be given to Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering programs
  • You will have completed 3 years of your engineering program by April, 2024
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community.
  • Interest in engineering design and complex projects.
  • Previous work experience will be considered an asset.
  • Technical experience with design calculations, modeling tools and software, ability to use data-centric design tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be preferred.
