As a member of the Engineering team you may work on our programs such as CHORUS Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Satellite, Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC), Square Kilometer Array (SKA) radio telescope, Aeronautical Navigation products, and Marine Insights products. You will work as part of a technical team to develop new capabilities, enhance existing capabilities and deliver solutions to our customers.



As part of your growth and development we will work with you to establish your development actions alongside regular progress reviews. You are likely to move through various projects to gain the experience and knowledge to progress your career with us.

We're on the hunt for a motivated and talented

Engineering Student

in our Geointelligence department at our Richmond office. This is an

8-month

term starting in

January 2026

.



Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.



The successful candidate will be a member of a team developing, integrating, and testing a signal processing system that is part of the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope project.

Responsibilities:

Develop Python tests and tools Integrate and test software, firmware, and hardware systems Collaborate with a diverse set of globally distributed teams participating in the SKA Participate in team improvement activities Track work progress and provide status updates via JIRA and daily standups

Experience and skills required:

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computing or Engineering Science with three (3) years completed.


Python Linux Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Self-motivation in a team environment

Desirable Skills:

Testing frameworks (e.g., pytest) Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines, DevOps Radio Astronomy (basics) C++ Agile software development Software microservice architectures Signal processing

Comments/Special Considerations:

The compensation range for this position is $24 - $27 hourly.
