Our Ontario Engineering Design Organization (EDO) Group is looking for a Design Quality Lead ready to join our growing Canadian Operations. The position can be in any of our Whitby , Markham , Toronto , Mississauga , St. Catharines , or Waterloo offices. Candidates\' career path: Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Working closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, and Discipline Leads to establish, implement, and monitor best practices for quality management for a wide range of projects.
• Creating project-specific quality management plans in consultation with the Project Team.
• Acting as a Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Control Reviewer in design projects.
• Integrating with GHD\xe2\x80\x99s Regional Quality Lead and Project Management Office regarding Quality and Project Controls Best Practices and to drive Enterprise- and Regional-level initiatives.
• Integrating with other Business Groups, including HRB(Highway, Road, Bridge), Rail & Transit, Water/Wastewater, Solid Waste, Linear Water, Food and Agriculture, Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Technology regarding technical project delivery and Quality process integration.
• Be assigned to lead design projects for municipal, provincial, and industrial clients, including serving as a Design Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff.
• Collaboration in small and large teams. Leading the integration with other engineering disciplines, engineers, and design staff in the production of high-quality project deliverables.
• Promoting best practices in the project delivery.
• Supporting Business Development including creating strategies, capture planning, and leading proposals.

What you will bring to the team:

• Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering
• Ontario P.Eng. designation required (or eligible)
• 10+ years\' experience in design and engineering of transportation infrastructure and facility projects
• Experience driving process transformation and best practices related to quality delivery of engineering projects.
• Experience and understanding of conventional delivery and alternative delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with MTO and municipal transportation clients within Ontario is an asset.
• Experience working with Metrolinx is considered an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop, mentor and lead professional technical staff.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and/or InRoads are considered assets.
