Position
PrairieSky has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Engineer-In-Training who will support the technical team in royalty production data management, A&D evaluations, corporate reporting deliverables, and annual reserves reviews. Key attributes include strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and be exposed to a diverse range of play types and geographies across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities

This position involves liaising and collaborating with the executive, technical, land, and finance teams.
>
Maintain and track royalty production data on a monthly basis to support corporate forecasting.
>
Utilize analytics applications to understand various plays and develop type curves.
>
Assist with the annual reserves process as well as investor relations materials and events.
>
Provide technical support as part of business development initiatives and A&D evaluations.
>
Keep apprised of industry activity and trends and present to management when appropriate.
>
Support the senior engineer and other teams with various assignments as required.
Qualifications
>
1 to 5 years of oil and gas industry or related experience.
>
A post-secondary degree in Engineering is preferred, a diploma in Engineering Technology will be considered.
>
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with relevant industry software including AccuMap, geoSCOUT, and Val Nav is considered an asset.
>
Working knowledge of freehold mineral ownership, interests, and royalties. Previous experience with Land management systems such as LandRite or CS Explorer would be beneficial.
>
Strong business acumen with an ability to complete financial analysis.
>
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
