We are looking for an electrical engineering co-op student to join the ATCO Electric Yukon (AEY) Engineering team! • Must be enrolled in an Engineering co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
• Have Excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary.
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver\'s license.

What you get to do:Distribution System PlanningDiscipline: Electrical EngineeringDescription:

• Operate power system simulation software (CYME) for load flow analysis.
• Perform electrical calculations such as transformer loading, voltage drop
• Develops protection schemes, regulator settings, transformer sizes.
• Reviews historical load and generation data and assists in the implementation of recent technologies.
• Daily support as needed to Service staff with transformer upgrades, fuse coordination, equipment upgrades and replacements, contingency studies, and outage investigations.

• Microstation
• CYME

Working Conditions:

• 95% office based, 5% field based.
• Hybrid schedule
