This is a temporary appointment of approximately 18-months.

What you will do:

• Provide technical support for the Redwater Fertilizer Operations (RFO) in a way that supports the Vision, Mission and Values of RFO and Nutrien.
• Work directly with the Process Engineering Team, Operations, Maintenance and Project Departments to ensure safe, efficient and reliable unit performance and make decisions and suggestions to address problem areas and improve overall plant performance.
• Make recommendations and be involved with important decision making on technical and complex aspects of management of change (MOC) projects, able to put together concepts of implementation and cost estimates.
• Support maintenance of Process Safety Information (PSI), including P&IDs and PFDs.
• Support the Process Hazard Analysis program (ORM - Operational Risk Management, QRA - Quantitative Risk Assessment, SILD - Safety Integrity Level Determination, etc.) as required.
• Support PHA corrective action closure and follow-up (including process changes, procedure updates, MOCs and design studies as required).
• Utilize process simulation software to solve production unit performance challenges and justifiy improvements.
• Work in compliance with all Nutrien personnel Safety & Process Safety standards.

What you will bring:

• P.Eng in Chemical Engineering preferred
• Minimum 5 years\' experience in related field
• Ability to coordinate a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to work with stakeholders to solve business case, scoping, planning and project execution problems
• Ability to multitask and handle a large and varied workload
• In-depth knowledge of Chemical Engineering principles
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and qualities to manage projects (MOCs and PHA corrective actions)
• Proficient in using software tools including Microsoft Office and Chemical Engineering software
• Must be motivated and able to work in a team environment, exhibit strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and have sound written and verbal communication skills
