DESCRIPTION




Cummins is looking for an In-shop diesel technician to join our Distribution business in Edmonton, Alberta.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:




Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. Disassemble, inspect and clean engines and /or engine components. Assists with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Completes training in line with skill and business requirements. Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES




In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:




Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Heavy duty red seal certification Commercial transport is required for this role Valid local drivers license

Experience:




Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians is considered an asset for this role. Experience with full chassis repairs: brake systems, A/C diagnostics, chassis electrical, transmission repairs.

About the role:




You will complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under minimal supervision. Work will also include: full chassis work, diagnostics using software like Cummins's Insite, minor and major engine repairs. Union environment. Working hours are Monday-Friday 7am-330pm Current salary is 48.32$ hourly as per CBA
