Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Engine Cleaning Shop Technician is responsible for preparing parts for non-destructive testing and inspection.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12, mechanically inclined, basic experience in the use of hand tools, W.H.M.I.S. Certification preferable, aviation training desirable.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Read work order for instructions

Follow the production plan to determine which engine tray or part is next to be processed.

Designate parts for sandblasting, glass beading, plastic beading, Varsol washing or buffing.

Keeping the work area clean.

Other Comments

Being able to pay close attention to details is essential to successfully performing the job.

A clean work area must be maintained to avoid any foreign objects contaminating the parts.
