We develop and offer low-carbon solutions for homeowners that are cleaner, simpler, and more cost-effective. We are a third-party administrator of PACE programs for municipalities across Canada. We provide an easy customer-friendly approach to energy efficiency upgrades, solar and beneficial electrification. This supports municipalities in their goals to decarbonize their communities, save their residents money and create local economic opportunities through energy efficiency and renewable energy investments. Job description Position Title: Energy Concierge Reports to: Energy Concierge Manager Location of Position: Office in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Possible overnight travel within the Maritimes Estimated Start Date: June, 2022 Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Compensation: To be determined based upon a combination of skill and experience. Benefits plan and flexible work hours with 2 weeks paid vacation. Plus, company holidays. Annual: $35,000-$45,000 based on experience Position Overview: The \xe2\x80\x98Property Assessed Clean Energy\xe2\x80\x99 finance mechanism is intrinsic to PACE Atlantic\xe2\x80\x99s program design. In 2021, we are significantly ramping up over $30 M in programming across Prince Edward Island, Ontario and Nova Scotia and expect to be launching additional programs for other communities in the medium term. With PACE Atlantic poised for significant growth, the successful candidate will become part of a dynamic and resilient team that effectively responds to challenges to evolve and thrive. As an excellent communicator with superb organizational skills, you love working directly with clients, co-workers and other stakeholders. This role is mainly responsible for interacting with property owners who are interested in undertaking energy upgrades in a highly courteous and helpful manner that exceeds their expectations. Selection Criteria:
  • Post secondary education in business, sustainability or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy background preferred, particularly in the residential sector, with familiarity of energy incentive programs in NS, PE and/or ON.
  • High level of proficiency in both verbal and written communications.
  • Kind, approachable, accommodating and customer-centric personality.
  • Energy related certifications or designations, such as Energy Adviser or CEM are considered assets.
  • Bilingualism an asset.
Position Duties: Our highest priority is to keep things simple for property owners. This role is very people-focused.
  • Corresponding with and supporting property owners through the entire energy upgrade finance process.
  • Project administration and follow-up, involving data gathering, entry & processing, document control, measurement, verification & reporting.
  • Stakeholder engagement (e.g. FCM, municipalities, contractors, efficiency organizations).
  • Organizing and supporting community and stakeholder engagement activities related to energy, climate change and energy upgrade financing.
  • Research into energy policies, programs and industry activity across Canada.
  • Other duties as assigned.
