Additional Job Information: Role/Responsibilities The successful candidate will join the Energy Systems and Climate Analysis Group at EPRI (http://esca.epri.com), a team of leading climate economists and energy system analysts. The candidate will also support EPRI\xe2\x80\x99s Technology Innovation sector, writing reports on emerging technology trends. Depending upon skill set, you will support some combination of research related to climate impacts and vulnerability analysis, climate adaptation and resilience strategies, climate policy and trends analysis, and/or technoeconomic analysis. You will also assist project managers with communications, event planning, writing reports and peer reviewed articles, and perform administrative support duties including budgeting, developing and maintaining contact lists, and organizing events, with the goal of transitioning to full time technical work in a two-year timeframe. The ESCA team offers the opportunity to work with established experts in a stimulating and innovative research environment to tackle some of today\xe2\x80\x99s most pressing societal challenges \xe2\x80\x93 energy and climate change \xe2\x80\x93 in collaboration with electric companies and government entities. A degree in economics, science, engineering, or a related field;
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Previous exposure to, and interest in energy and climate issues
Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities, while supporting staff located across the U.S. and Canada
Experience with statistical software and/or programming languages for optimization methods and/or data science (e.g., R, Python, GAMS, Matlab) is a plus
Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently;
Some travel (10%-15%) within North America is required to support meetings and events.
