The location in Montr\xc3\xa9al, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Analyst, Carbon and Climate Change. This job is full-time temporary.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Energy and Climate Change, you will support various ongoing corporate efforts related to carbon and climate change. Specifically, you will play the following role:

  • Improve our standardized compilation and reporting processes and tools for scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG inventories based on various provincial, state and federal regulations and WRI/WBSCD standards, to facilitate their use in various internal and external reports, such as CDP reports.
  • Conduct a review of the scientific literature on internationally recognized standards and update the corporate GHG management plan.
  • Support the achievement of the company\'s science-based GHG reduction target, by participating in the preparation of annual templates for environmental performance indicators (including GHGs) and assisting with the collection, verification, analysis and presentation of carbon data.
  • Work on the consolidation and analysis of environmental performance data for the development of various internal and public reports.
  • Provide support to senior resources for efforts related to climate scenario analyses.
  • Provide support for awareness and communication efforts related to GHG reduction and support the various departments in achieving corporate objectives.
Profile
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field (environment, engineering, science, etc.).
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Data analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and interest in tools development.
  • Solid spoken and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Resourcefulness, proactivity, autonomy and effective time management.
  • The following are considered assets:
  • Knowledge of WRI/WBCSD protocols (scope 1, 2 and 3) used to calculate carbon footprint.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas emission regulations in Quebec and Canada.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge of Enablon and Power BI.
