This role can be in Langley/ Vancouver or a combination of both Pacific Reach is a developer, owner and operator of state of the art Seniors Facilities, Hotels and Multi-Family/Commercial buildings both in British Columbia and other locations in North America. Energy management has more than a decade history in over 56 separate building locations. We have been an active partner of FortisBC and BC Hydro. Our dedication to ensuring that we remain good business citizens is ongoing, as we strive to ensure that we maintain our focus on cultivating and maintaining a strong energy conservation culture across all aspects of our business together with the implementation of viable and practical energy efficient technologies within our buildings and operations. Opportunity: Pacific Reach is currently looking to fill a new Energy Analyst/Specialist position at the earliest. The Energy Analyst will be responsible for analyzing energy consumption of the assigned properties and report on Energy Utilization Index and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The successful candidate helps Energy Manager with creating baseline, stablishing a benchmark and monitoring a weather normalized model for the buildings. Based on experience energy analyst can look into Building Automation System and recommend energy conservation measures or administer a continuous optimization program. Candidate can be promoted to thermal energy manager, based on performance. Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Review consumption histories, detect anomalies and provide corrective initiatives \xc2\xb7 Assist with the development of utility budgets together with ongoing tracking and variance management \xc2\xb7 Monitor weather patterns and statistics to allow forecasting of energy usage \xc2\xb7 Create baseline and benchmark and keep track of anomalies \xc2\xb7 Commission energy audits to attain a database of infrastructure/energy usage for each building together with energy conservation/savings opportunities \xc2\xb7 Identify projects for reducing energy consumption \xc2\xb7 Create GHG reduction pathways \xc2\xb7 Support energy manager in devise a strategy for reducing energy costs and environmental impact resulting from energy consumption \xc2\xb7 Promote a culture of sustainability and educate other staff Qualifications: Must have at least one of the following: o Registered Certified Technologist o UBC Masters in Clean Energy Engineering o Sustainable Energy Management Associate Certificate o NYIT Master of Energy Management o Certified Energy Manager or Certified Energy Manager in training o Certified Technician (HVAC, Instrumentation or other relevant discipline) And; o Proven experience in real estate energy management is an asset o Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm related to energy efficiency o Familiar with Energy Star Portfolio Manager o Proficiency in Excel and Outlook o Must be able to write a technical report o Must be a good team player and communicate ideas simply and thoroughly.
