The Energy Analyst will join JLL\xe2\x80\x99s Sustainable Operation team, to support the delivery of energy and sustainability products and services to a range of clients. The primary focus of this position is to support clients\' annual reporting of carbon emissions and projects related to carbon savings. These include:

  • Reporting \xe2\x80\x93generate portfolio reports using the JLL sustainability technology tool and landlord consumption data. The reports may address respective issues regarding energy trends, data quality control, savings progress, and portfolio-wide summaries
  • Provide support for energy/sustainability projects development
  • Communicating directly with facility managers and landlords to verify the data
  • Maintain completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting
WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL BE DOING/WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU/WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DO
  • Supporting data analysis and reporting to produce energy, environmental, and sustainability reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Energy Analysis \xe2\x80\x93analyze properties within the portfolio for trends and anomalies in energy consumption
  • Identifying anomalies and performing a gap analysis of the energy & sustainability data and working with clients to include corrective actions, including measures that improve the efficiency of data capture.
  • Undertaking data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement and potential cost reduction.
  • Liaising with a team both internally and externally to support client Energy and Sustainability objectives
  • Resolve utility account issues by working with utility companies and bill processing firms
  • Participate in energy team process improvement projects and energy training sessions
  • Assists support for applications for incentives and grant programs, as required, for the projects.
  • Assists prepare audit reports that include the results of the energy analysis or suggestions regarding energy cost savings
WHAT YOU BRING/ WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE/WHAT WE\xe2\x80\x99RE LOOKING FOR
  • University Degree (Science, engineering, math or related fields)
  • Proficient in using MS Excel, Tableau, and Smartsheet to combine and analyze data from various sources and generate reports and graphics. Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and identify the gaps and trends in data
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and follow-through.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide a detailed or brief explanation of the data analysis results
  • Basic understanding of HVAC, HVAC control, and building energy systems
  • Familiar with Energy Audits and Recommissioning
  • Basic understanding of Green House Gas Emission calculations
  • Familiarity with sustainability-related certification and benchmarking tools
  • Bilingual -English and Spanish is a great asset but not mandatory
