What\'s the job?

Primary responder to end user requests via telephone and email for all systems and technical related issues. Escalates to other teams as required. Tracks, monitors and follows up with ticket flow to ensure a timely resolution and end user satisfaction.

  • Track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution, identify recurring trends, document process for future response (Confluence). Maintain help desk ticketing system (Jira)
  • Support I.T. equipment in plants and offices, e.g: workstations, hand scanners, thermal label & laser printers. Ensuring functionality and connectivity to network and systems, and facilitating their maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose computer and peripheral problems for end-users
  • Support, monitor and test hardware and software problems pertaining to the LAN
  • Recommends and schedules repairs and preventative maintenance to I.T. equipment
  • Procure, configure, distribute and coordinate final installation of user stations as per corporate standards.
  • Work and update network hardware equipment in accordance to corporate IT standards.
  • Provide remote or onsite support to other locations in the corporation as assigned
  • Conduct first level hardware and standard software suite training to all corporate end-users
  • Complete HR entered tickets for onboarding and off boarding of employees, including orientation, equipment deployment, Active Directory Group and Distribution List memberships. Coordinates Oracle ERP and other application credential assignment and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that security requirements are enabled and enforced, such as Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Provide deployment and support for mobile devices (smartphone).
  • Any other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What do you bring?
  • Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in an IT field
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of Current Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of current network technologies and mobile/mobility solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and business related applications
  • Knowledge of hardware/software troubleshooting techniques and I.T. best practices
  • Organizational skills, capable of working independently as well as with the I.T. team and business units
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Any Microsoft MTA, certifications are assets
